Qualifications / Requirements
Passionate about helping students succeed both academically and outside of school. We hire Tutors that are passionate about what they do and have a strong desire to help make a positive impact in a students life.
Personality traits that allow you to connect well with students and motivate them to succeed in their academics and outside of the classroom
Certified or retired teachers, student teachers, educational assistants etc. OR University/College students, graduates or post-graduates
Knowledgeable and familiar with the provincial curriculum (in the course you wish to teach).
Own or have access to a vehicle. Tutoring takes place at clients homes across the city. A reliable form of transportation is required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Able to explain complex concepts in a variety of ways which engages students.
Self-motivated, driven, professional and reliable individuals who are able to commit to a students full needs.
Available during evenings and/or weekends for the entire school term (September until June)
Preference given to individuals interested in tutoring for the long term
All tutors hired are required to provide a recent police background check.
