+ When to start?

RIGHT NOW!!! We recommend starting at an early age to ensure your son/daughter does not fall behind. Even if your son/daughter is doing well in school our tutors will focus on challenging your son/daughter to expand their knowledge even further.

+ How long will it take to find tutor?

We move fast. After you fill out the required documentation we will usually have you matched with a tutor within 48 hours.

+ How do you match my son/daughter with a tutor?

We use our proprietary algorithm to match you with the best available tutor we have for your child's unique personality. If you are unhappy with our match we will provide you with another tutor.

+ What makes you better than traditional learning centers like Sylvan or Kumon?

Sylvan or Kumon follow their own unique programs that do not necessarily allign with what students are learning in class. Our tutors follow the provincial curriculm. These learning centers provide a student to teacher ratio of 3 (students) : 1 (teacher) or higher. At Peak Tutoring you have a personalized one-on-one tutor.

+ How long are sessions?

Sessions are a minimum 1 hour in length.

+ How does scheduling and availability work?

Our matching process matches you with a tutor that will fit your schedule. You will then schedule sessions directly with your tutor.

+ Where do sessions occur?

Sessions take place in the convenience of your own home. You live a busy life and we want to make it simpler for you. We also have found that students feel more comfortable in their own home. If you do not wish to have our tutor come to your home; sessions can also occur at a library or another quite public area of your choice.

+ How do you offer a better service at a lower price than your competitors?

We can't let you in on all our secrets! Lets just say just like our tutors teach our clients to think differently so do we.

+ My Son/daughter needs help in more than one subject?

We can provide a tutor for each individual subject or in some cases we can provide one tutor to cover all subjects.

+ How much tutoring should I have?

Every student is different, some students require more time to fully grasp concepts. Typically we recommend a minimum 1-2 hours per week for each subject. Consistency is extremely important to acheive success, it is not recommended to skip weeks, as it can result in students falling behind or forgetting concepts which were previously taught. After you fill out your free assessment package we will provide you with a recommendation. We will never try to sell you on more than you need or want!

+ My son/daughter is doing well do I still need a tutor?

Although it may not be required it is well recommended. Even if you son/daughter is acheiving marks in the 80s/90s, tutoring can still be advantageous. It can increase their grades even more, reduces the amount of time your child is spending on homework, add study and organizational skills and challenge your child. Post-secondary education are becoming extremely competitive with many programs requiring high 80s+ admission averages to be competitive.

+ I was unsatisfied with the tutor can I get another?

Of couse! We use a proprietary algorithm to match our tutor with your child's specific personality and needs. However if you are unhappy with the initial tutor we are more than happy to provide a different tutor. We are here to make you completely happy and satisfied with our service!
